Jill Homan


Jill Homan is a Petworth resident and proud Republican, who has been working tirelessly to expand the party in the District of Columbia as the Republican National Committeewoman for DC. Jill worked on Capitol Hill for former Congressman Bob Ehrlich as his press secretary. After her time on Capitol Hill, Jill went on to earn a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Policy degrees from Duke University, with a focus on finance and authoring a thesis on urban revitalization. A small business owner, Jill co-founded Javelin 19 Investments, a commercial real estate investment company focused on metropolitan Washington, DC. At Javelin 19, Jill is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and executing commercial real estate investment opportunities which include multi-family and office acquisitions. Jill previously served as vice president for Perseus Realty for five years, where she was responsible for multi-family and office acquisitions, underwriting, assisting in the capitalization of ongoing projects, and managing due diligence processes. Jill is no stranger to politics on the local and national levels. She assisted with Norm Coleman's (MN) election for US Senate and Mitt Romney and John McCain's presidential campaign. Jill has been a loyal supporter of the DC Republican Committee and its candidates for a number of years. She hosted fundraisers, went door to door and helped at phone banks for numerous DC GOP candidates. In addition to serving as the Republican National Committeewoman for DC, Jill is a member of the DC GOP Executive Committee. She also serves as the President of the League of Republican Women DC. In her capacity as Republican National Committeewoman for DC, Jill served on the eight-member Site Selection Committee for the 2016 National Convention. Jill also founded and help grow CityGOP (citygop.org), a national effort to advocate for greater resources to support urban Republican candidates and urban Republican Parties. Jill received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Dayton--a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in German, graduating magna cum laude. During her undergraduate and graduate education, she studied abroad at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - MBA Program. Jill serves on the Board of Visitors for Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy, is a former board member of Commercial Real Estate Women DC, and enjoys running, having completed her sixth marathon.
