History.

The League of Republican Women of the District of Columbia has a respected and enviable history as the first Republican Women's Club in the United States.  The League was founded in 1912 by Virginia White Speel and incorporated in the District of Columbia in 1923.

Mission.
To provide Republican women the opportunity to influence and support the Republican agenda.

Our Goals.

  • To encourage an informed public to exercise its right to vote;
  • To enhance the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government;
  • To foster and provide loyalty to the Republican Party and promote its principles and candidates in all elections;
  • To encourage Republican women to seek public office and support their efforts for election, and
  • To expand opportunity for members to network within the Republican Party and its political systems.
